If you are clearing out a house in Berlin, stripping a bathroom, or finally dealing with the garage, you need a container on the driveway and a firm date for it to leave again. That is the whole job we do.
Berlin borders both Hudson and Bolton and sits right where I-290 meets I-495. It is small and rural, so nearly every placement is on private property with plenty of room to work.
We are a family-owned container company run by Steve, a local firefighter raised in this area. You book online in about a minute, see the exact price before you pay, and deal with the person whose name is on the truck.
Home cleanouts and decluttering in Berlin
Cleanouts are the most common reason people in Berlin call us, and they are also the job most likely to be underestimated. A single garage rarely fills a container on volume — but add the basement, the shed and thirty years of furniture and it adds up faster than anyone expects. If you are clearing a whole property, start at the 15-yard.
Berlin, population 3,158
Berlin is the smallest town we serve, a little over 3,000 people at the last census, bordered by Hudson, Marlborough, Bolton and Northborough. It has been farm country since it was settled in 1665: by the 1880s it was shipping asparagus to market by the tens of thousands of bunches, and by 1940 its poultry farms were producing more than 800,000 dozen eggs a year. The 1870 Town Hall still faces the Meeting House Common, and Berlin Orchards on Route 62 runs pick-your-own apples and hay wagon rides each fall.
- Berlin Orchards Fall, Route 62. Pick-your-own apples, hay wagon rides, pies and produce.
- 1870 Town Hall Year round. The old town hall on the Common, still in use as a community meeting space.
Most driveways here are long and a good number are unpaved, so tell us whether yours is gravel or packed dirt and the driver will bring plywood for under the rails.

Between two sizes? The item picker sizes a cleanout from what you are throwing away, and the weight, roofing, drywall and deck calculators do the same for tear-outs, in about a minute and for free.
Access and permits
We need roughly the length of two parked cars plus room for the truck to back straight in, and clear space overhead for the hoist. Most Berlin driveways manage that easily; the ones that do not are usually the short, steep or shared kind, and those are worth flagging.
On a driveway in Berlin, the only paperwork is a dumpster permit from the Fire Department, which the state fire code requires for any dumpster over 6 cubic yards that stays overnight. Berlin's bylaws bar placing any obstruction in a public way, and the town publishes no street permit for a dumpster that we found. Getting the permit is the customer's responsibility, so apply before delivery day. See Berlin in our dumpster permit guide for the source and the neighboring towns.
What can go in
Household junk, furniture, wood, drywall, roofing and metal are all fine. Hazardous material, tires, electronics, appliances containing refrigerants, mattresses, clothing and other textiles, masonry and yard waste are not. The full lists are on the FAQ page, and they are worth two minutes before you load: a prohibited item carries a $200 removal fee plus whatever the disposal facility charges us.
One thing no fee can fix is asbestos: no Massachusetts facility will accept it. Have old siding, roof shingles, floor tile, pipe insulation or plaster tested before it comes off, whatever the age of the building. What we cannot take ›
Berlin questions
How much does a dumpster cost in Berlin?
The same as everywhere else we serve. Prices start at $475 and include delivery, pickup and disposal; the only other charge is the $19 booking fee, shown before you pay. There is no haul charge and no percentage added at the end.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Berlin?
On your own driveway, the only paperwork is a dumpster permit from the Fire Department. The state fire code requires it for any dumpster over 6 cubic yards that stays overnight, which covers every rental we offer, and the application is filed online. Berlin's bylaws bar placing any obstruction in a public way, and the town publishes no street permit for a dumpster that we found. Getting the permit is the customer's responsibility, so apply before delivery day.
Do you serve the whole of Berlin?
Yes, every part of it, from our Hudson yard. If your street is awkward for a truck the size of a moving van, describe it in the placement notes when you book and we will tell you before we load rather than after we arrive.
