Placement and permits in Hudson
Anything on your own property avoids the permit question completely, which is why we put so many containers on driveways. If the only workable spot in Hudson is the street, check with the town before you book: rules differ from one town to the next and obtaining the permit is your responsibility, not ours.

What we can and cannot take
The prohibited list is not arbitrary. Mattresses, textiles, electronics, tires and masonry are banned from disposal in Massachusetts under the state waste bans, so the facility rejects the load rather than us. Asbestos cannot go in the container, and that one is not a fee - no Massachusetts facility can accept it, so a load with it in cannot be tipped anywhere. Worth knowing here, because much of Hudson's housing predates the 1980s. If the building dates from before 1980 and you are disturbing siding, roofing, floor tile, pipe insulation or old plaster, test it before you load anything. Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Hudson?
