Dumpster Rental in Sudbury, MA

Roll-off dumpsters delivered across Sudbury from our Hudson yard, booked online and priced up front.

Roofing, siding or a deck coming down in Sudbury? Tear-offs are the job where having the container already on site pays for itself, because the debris arrives all at once and there is nowhere to put it.

Sudbury is large-lot residential with long driveways and a lot of mature trees. Placement is easy, overhead branches are the thing to check, and soft ground after a wet week is worth a mention when you book.

We are a family-owned container company run by Steve, a local firefighter raised in this area. You book online in about a minute, see the exact price before you pay, and deal with the person whose name is on the truck.

Roofing and exterior work in Sudbury

Shingles are heavy. A single layer of architectural shingles comes off at about 300 pounds a square, so a 15-yard's 1.5 tons covers roughly ten squares, and most full roofs in Sudbury go past that and pay the overage by weight. A roof shingled over more than once weighs about what you would expect two roofs to weigh. Run the roofing calculator or tell us how many layers are coming off, and there are no surprises on the ticket.

Fife and drum at the Wayside Inn

Sudbury's best-known address is Longfellow's Wayside Inn, and on a Saturday in late September it hosts the Colonial Faire and Fife and Drum Muster. Some 25 fife and drum corps from across New England and New York come by invitation, the parade forms up at the Grist Mill at noon, and the day runs from a colonial encampment in the morning through a performance by every corps in the afternoon. It is a celebration rather than a competition.

Sudbury is large-lot residential with long, tree-lined driveways. The roads around the Wayside Inn get congested on muster day; otherwise the only thing to check is overhead branches.

Choosing the spot

Flat and paved beats everything. A loaded dumpster concentrates several tons onto four small contact points, so gravel, soft ground and freshly sealed asphalt all deserve a mention when you book, and plywood under the rails solves most of it.

In Sudbury, a driveway dumpster needs only the fire department's permit, which the state fire code requires for anything over 6 cubic yards that stays overnight; the town adds none of its own that we found. Sudbury publishes no street rule for a dumpster that we found, so ask the Department of Public Works first. Getting any permit is the customer's responsibility. The dumpster permit guide lists this rule and its source next to every other town we serve. Beyond that, just leave the space clear that morning.

Loading the container

Load heavy material low and flat, keep everything below the rim, and set aside anything on the prohibited list before you start rather than after. Mattresses, old clothes and linens, tires, paint, electronics, appliances with refrigerant and yard waste all need a different route, and a prohibited item found at the gate carries a $200 fee. The full lists live on the FAQ page.

Asbestos can't go in the dumpster at any price. If you're removing old siding, roofing, floor tile, pipe insulation or plaster, have anything suspect tested first; newer buildings are not automatically clear. What we cannot take ›

Sudbury questions

How much does a dumpster cost in Sudbury?

Sudbury pays the same rates as every town we serve, starting at $475 with delivery, pickup and disposal included. The extras are listed up front: the $19 booking fee, and fees for going over the weight, keeping it longer or loading a prohibited item.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Sudbury?

On your own driveway, the only paperwork is the fire department's dumpster permit: the state fire code requires one for any dumpster over 6 cubic yards that stays overnight, and every size we rent is 10 yards or more. Sudbury adds no permit of its own that we could find. Sudbury publishes no street rule for a dumpster that we found, so ask the Department of Public Works first. Getting any permit is the customer's responsibility.

Will the truck damage my driveway in Sudbury?

A loaded container puts several tons onto four small contact points, so on new asphalt, sealed surfaces or gravel it is worth saying so when you book. Plywood under the rails spreads the load and prevents marking. Tell us in the placement notes and we will plan for it rather than discover it on delivery day.

Prices, fees and rental terms are the same across our whole service area. See the Terms of Service for the complete fee schedule.
